I ran across this article in the New York Times this morning. The City of Bozeman, MT is asking all job applicants to disclose their social network logins and passwords. This is yet another sign of the emerging struggle GRC professionals has with social networking technologies. The pendulum is still swinging between personal privacy and organizational data security. As the pendulum comes to a rest, expect new technologies to emerge to help manage that balance. I will blog more on the social networking technology as related to GRC at a later time.
